Will life ever go back to normal?

I'm really struggling to deal with this anxiety. I just keep looking at my gorgeous baby and thinking what will his life look like. I just want to wake up from this bad dream and do normal things with him. I keep crying.

Life is going to be normal again, and sooner than you think.

Absolutely.

lynsey91 · 16/03/2020 18:50

@alexasaymyname it will be more than a bad dream for all the people who lose their jobs and all the business owners that see their businesses go bust.

I am not a worrier because, honestly, what is the point. It changes nothing. However I am a realistic person and no way is this not going to change things, quite possibly massively.

If you think it isn't you are very naive. How can so many things closing down for weeks or months not have any affect?

Also it is absolute rubbish to say it seems worse because of social media. If the government had thought things were going to be so bad when there was the swine flu outbreak or ebola then they would just have spoken to us all through the tv or radio or, if absolutely necessary by letter.

There was no shut down previously or self isolation was there? Are any of you actually following what is happening in countries such as France, Italy, Spain etc?

I don’t think it will be exactly the same as it is now

BlueMoon1103 · 16/03/2020 19:24

I’m so tired of this now, I want life back to normal. I have a 1 year old and I’m an anxious mess.

JuggleBug · 16/03/2020 19:26

We've been through worse than this as a country OP, as difficult as it is right now I'm sure normal life will resume in due course.

JuggleBug · 16/03/2020 19:33

I think as others have said we've been due something like this for a while now. It's supposed to be the biggest threat to us I understand, some sort of disease, more than war etc... As difficult as this is at the moment, we are fortunate that this is not something with a much higher fatality rate.

This is worse than they are reporting. Twenty percent of the world's population will die from this. I am sorry, but I am not one to sugar coat something like this. The vaccines will NEVER keep up with the new strains of this virus.

Be safe~
