Please share your stories of other people behaving badly.
It helps to share these experiences.

I have had two bad interactions with people and groups at two different locations, people are the real danger in the UK.

Two woman in the local large shopping car park, being aggressive shouting at people for having full trolleys, very angry uneducated rats looking to blame everyone else for them not preparing.

80+ man was in the local shop shouting at people randomly for shopping and calling fat people the problem and they didn't exist in the War. It was really sad I called him Albert from only fools and horses and walked away.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, because hope is not a strategy.

I second that I have had no increase in issues at the supermarket I work in. My DS has more issues with regular shoplifters in normal weeks than he had this weekend in his supermarket.

Please don't think that the world is a more frightening, violent place to be right now.
My late night shift on Friday dropped quiet about 9pm. People were shopping, they were finding enough food to fill a trolley. I had time to clean my till and belt between customers. It is not a particularly quiet store but this is pretty normal footfall for my last hour.

Customers were trying something new, beetroot pasta for example.
They have promised to feed back what it was like. I have picked up tips and recipes, I have shared alternatives to what they couldn't find on the shelves. I have had shoppers run off to pick up alternatives while their partner is packing. My customers have been great and we have shared some humour, usually at the times we find ourselves in.

The well behaved people still outweigh the badly behaved tenfold.

The thing is that quite a lot of people are unpleasant wankers at any time. Everyone knows this, at times of crisis or if they are pushed it just becomes more apparent than usual.

My next door neighbour knocked to offer to get anything I needed from the supermarket as she wanted to check I was "able" (I'm 17 weeks pregnant and she wasn't sure if I was high risk). I'm very thankful and also fine but used the opportunity to offer her my having her children if the schools close and they get stuck. I also told her I have Calpol galore because I have had a fear of running out since the great "WE HAVE NO CALPOL" of 2017 so use up one and buy two more 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have only experienced people being kind.

I prepped moths ago for a bad Brexit consequence. I have simply maintained my stores.

You called him Albert and walked off? Confused

There will be a thread about you OP 😂

Yes it will say. Am i being unreasonable for shouting at people randomly for shopping and calling fat people the problem and saying they didn't exist in the War. Someone had the audacity to liken me to Albert from only fools and horses and then walk away. How dare they? I was only insulting fat shoppers! Sad

Yet, the fact remains that
Hope will not reduce housing foreclosures.
Hope does not stop a recession or depression.
Hope cannot create jobs.
Hope will not prevent catastrophic failures of banks.
Hope is simply not a strategy.

Yet the fact remains that
We do not have to communicate entirely in soundbites. Albert.

OP, your thread seems pretty unhelpful to me.

Better than criticising and judging people in real life I suppose but otherwise just grim.

SeperatedSwans · 15/03/2020 19:02

My advice to you OP is stay inside and turn off the internet so nobody else need tolerate you.

YgritteSnow · 15/03/2020 19:06

OP weren't you on the other thread boasting about how you started prepping back in October as the writing was on the wall but no one realised but you? Why are you even out shopping if you're so prepared? How selfish.
