To be furious? CV related. Or AIBU?

I’m disabled and in the risk category for CV.

I want to take my children out of school, not only for their sake or my sake but for elderly family members sake. If the children become ill with CV it’ll be me looking after them (my DH doesn’t seem to do anything when they’re poorly although is a good dad in other ways).
He doesn’t want to take them out of school and is quite happy for us to get on with it and risk catching CV and if I catch it at the same time as the kids then I will just have to struggle on and keep going even though he’s aware I may struggle a lot if i catch it. Whose being unreasonable?

YANBU - take them out.
YABU - your overreacting.

(Yes I know this is a DH problem.)

Ask him how he is going to look after the DC. If he isn’t willing to step up and deal with the consequences of his decision then he doesn’t get to make it.

My DC are still going to school but I would be surprised if the schools stay open beyond this week.

If you catch it at the same time as the kids it** will have to be your DH looking after all of you. I'm honestly not sure if you taking your kids out of school is the right move, and probably unless you're actually caring for your elderly relatives you should avoid seeing them anyway, but your DH needs to realise he can't opt out of this. Your DH cannot have this both ways.
