32 weeks pregnant - AIBU to stop work now?

I’m self-employed as a private tutor. I was planning to start maternity leave when term ends in 3 weeks time.

However given all that’s going on, I’m now thinking about just stopping work with immediate effect and reducing all unnecessary social contact until the baby arrives. I know the risk to pregnant women isn’t currently thought to be any greater than the risk to anyone else, yet I’d obviously prefer not to go into labour unwell.

I doubt I’ll be able to get my maternity allowance payments to start earlier than I originally requested but that’s OK with me and I’m prepared to go unpaid for a bit. My main concern is my students. Several of them have SATs approaching. Do you think the families will mind and think I’m BU?

YANBU

Might it be possible do give lessons via Skype as a stop-gap?

Thanks. Yes, I’ve never tried it personally but I know some tutors do use Skype. I can see if any of my families are interested.
