Check visiting restrictions at hospitals/care homes

For those of you who have family/ friends in hospital please check visiting restrictions.
At our local hospital we are advising only essential visitors ( children need a parent etc), the cancer units may restrict any visiting.
This is for the safety of everyone , patients, visitors and staff.
This is not scaremongering, this is just trying to protect people and reduce stress on the NHS.
As a healthcare professional I am also aware of how devastating not seeing loved ones can be , please be patient and supportive of us when we say no visitors.

My Mil was taken into a rehabilitation nursing home on Friday this was only to be for 3 weeks, now the home has closed its doors for the foreseeable future.
No-one else is coming in and no-one being discharged. No visitors.
We should do everything we can to help the NHS and all members of staff. Where would we be without them.
