Social distancing and still living normally?

DH and I are attempting social distancing whilst still trying to live our lives too. We both work in health care and come into contact with elderly, immunocompromised adults every day and so no socialising for us evenings as weekends as we don't want to put anyone at risk.
But dd is still in nursery and is looked after by both sets of grandparents at different times throughout the week.
Are we just fighting a losing battle anyway? Dd will be the most likely carrier, God knows how many coughs and colds we've both had that she's brought home from nursery over the last year.
Is there any point to this or should it be full isolation or nothing at all?
