Have Childminders in Ireland closed?

Hello
Any Irish childminders out there to answer this? Just wondering if Childminders were forced to close with nurseries and schools in Ireland. I am a childminder in England and was curious.
Thanks!

They were and then allowed to reopen. (Also a cm, I’ve seen the email on IC on Facebook)

No they haven't. I did hear a creche owner giving a radio interview yesterday calling for them to be closed as she said she witnessed up to 25 children being minded by a single childminder on Friday.

Child minding is not as regulated here as it seems to be in the UK. There is no obligation to register with any authority and it is done mostly cash in hand and informally so it would be much harder I imagine to impose a ban. I use a childminder for after school care but I am going to wfh, take leave and my dh will do the same so we hopefully won't need to use her as I feel my children are our responsibility and i would not like them to infect anyone other than us should they have it.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea that the set up in Ireland was so different.
