How on earth do I deal with this in the current situation ??

Dd has amongst other things ASD with ARFID and PDA

So all the extra heathy food ive got to boost the whole family’s immunity has been taken and eaten by her
Attempts to discuss this lead to suicide threats and screaming

Discussion around self isolation (she initiated) amd has said she will not be told to stay in (pda talking I think)

The situation is utterly unbearable already and I don’t knew what I’m going to do if things get worse
Talk of her going out deliberately ‘to catch it’
Not caring if she then passes it to vulnerable family members
I want to cry

Arfid and pda?

@Regain4men ARFID is a type of eating disorder often associated with ASD.

OP that sounds so distressing for you.
What support do you have?

Helpwithaversion · 18/03/2020 21:48

A support worker who was seeing dd recently and offered counselling but nothing is helping she refused camhs previously and refuses MH services now she’s discharged from eating disorder clinic as hit her targets but the actual issue is unresolved

I’m just concerned for her if she does go out plus for other family members
Also v stressed trying to juggle the food situation. If I try to talk to her is near impossible to word it correctly to avoid trigger phrases or words or tone of voice and once the pda button is hit that’s it

I’ll be very glad when this is all over eating issues etc in this disaster is so hard
