Advice on holiday to Majorca in July

Sorry, I'm sure this has been done to death.

We are due to go on holiday in July to Majorca. We have 30 days left to cancel where we would 'only' lose our deposit (£900)

I know I have as much, if not more chance of catching the virus in England, but I have 2 chronic health conditions (heart problem and type 1 diabetes) and my worry is IF I caught it whilst on holiday , that I wouldn't be near my hospital and specialist team.

We could of course wait and see if FCA cancel holidays to Majorca closer to the time, but if they don't and we decide not to go, then we've paid the holiday in full (£3k) and we'd lose much more money than our £900 deposit.

I don't know, but I'm in a similar situation with a holiday to Turkey. We're taking my elderly parents who have similar health conditions to yourself.

Similar situation as yourself, due to fly end of July to Balerics.
We cancelled last week. Had payed hol in full. Only lost deposit. The rest of money was back in my account 3 days later.
Relief is what I feel.

You have 30 days. Wait and see. You may be delighted to have a flight out of the country in May.

I would research the hospitals over there and see if you would get the right care if anything were to happen, that might help your decision.

We have a similar situation with villa holiday to Majorca at the end of June. Have paid s 10% deposit for the villa I think but booked our own 4 flights bus EasyJet. Thr balance o the villa £3500 is due end of March but if we want to cancel it had to ge before next weekend. ThEn we will only lose the deposit snd still gave the flights. I really want to cancel but need to persuade DH and teenage DC

I am currently in isolation . DH and I are due to go to Majorca early May , all paid but I am unsure .

I used to live there; the hospital is excellent.

Will your travel insurance cover you if you catch the virus whilst away?
