Hi all, so DH has a fever and a dry chesty cough which has developed over 2 weeks. I’m convincing myself it’s just a normal flu. He also has health anxiety. He has self isolated and Sleeps away from us in kids bedroom. His symptoms are getting worse and he seems sleepy all day.

Problem is I have 2 under 2. No childcare and no option of support as anyone who would’ve in normal situations stepped up is more at risk than I am.

So if I do catch something firm DH, I’ll obviously just carry on. But if it’s not possible, and i become bed ridden... what happens to my kids ?

One is 5 months and one is 23 months. Both breastfeeding so that could help. But I can’t think of how to keep them safe/ looked after.

Does anyone know if covid 19 transmits through breast milk ?

Hoping to hear from someone in similar dynamics.

Don’t worry about breastfeeding. Good info here breastfeeding.support/coronavirus-and-breastfeeding/ (Yes they recommend wearing a mask and you probably don’t have one!)

Other than that I think it’s just a case of whatever you can do to get through it. TV for the toddler even if you normally wouldn’t, ditto baked beans for every meal. I’ve filled the freezer with ready meals just in case DH and I both get too ill to cook.
