Mil was admitted to a rehabilitation nursing home today after another fall, diabetes problem and water infection.
Was told by the doctor she had to be in by 4pm. She got there at 3.50pm. Settled into her room.
As we were leaving asking about visiting etc to be told that's it the home was closed to incoming patients and no-one
could go out. No visitors until this virus is over.
We have spoken to others and all homes in our area are doing the same, the local hospital is doing the same with certain wards.

Ours is the same. Had an email today. Was due to go on Monday to visit my dad who is end stage dementia and expected to pass away fairly soon. Haven’t been for a couple of weeks. Feel so guilty I didn’t go this week now. I just hope I haven’t missed my last chance Sad and also for my mum to see him. She’s practically housebound and I said I’d take her.

@Kenworthington my heart goes out to you. My Dad is in a home with advanced Alzheimer's and I haven't been for a couple of weeks either. Wish I'd seen him last weekend now🙁
I can't bear the thought of him shut away with no visitors, my mum usually goes every other day. But I don't want him catching this thing so I guess there is no choice. It's horrible.
