Anyone understand the graph from yesterday?

I have looked at the graph from the press conference yesterday but I can't work out the scale, can anyone work when the peaks are predicted to happen? Thanks

Not sure, but the bbc say this (assuming it’s with interventions as planned)

“Computer simulations indicate the UK is in the early stages of its epidemic which is expected to rise sharply in four weeks and peak in 10 and 14 weeks' time.“

this is the one. I asked on 3 threads yesterday if anyone could work out the exact time increments but no replies yet. It's not the clearest

hard to tell if each month is three of the lines or two.. or maybe 4?

That's the one. I'm not sure if the scale is deliberately vague or I'm being a bit dumb!

I don't think it's supposed to have amounts and times, it's just a representation of what they're expecting to happen

The same graph is being use to represent all manner of different plans, internationally.

Is it not an ambition, rather than an evidence-based projection? I am concerned that the wording the around the government's use of the graph has been chosen to allow vagueness, and all manner of interpretation.

Thank you, that's a really useful explanation. I understand the premise behind it, I was just trying to work out when the shit is mostly likely to hit the fan
