Should I cancel my hospital appointment?

I have a hospital appointment tomorrow to take my 4 week old baby to be weighed by the paediatrician.

I’m in Wakefield and as of yet no confirmed cases, but there are confirm cases in Leeds which is only 9 miles away.

I’m asthmatic so obviously concerned about picking this up and concerned about my baby picking this up too.

What should I do?

I’d go

I assume it's not a standard check up if you're seeing a Pediatrician. I'd still go.

Presumably there is a reason your having to go to get checked by a paediatrician so yes you should go.

Every hospital Ds has visited recently (he gets about them!) has had very clear “stop here and do x y and z” signs for anyone who is high risk of being a carrier

Personally I'd call them and ask, just in case. Mention that you're asthmatic. They'll probably be able to put your mind at rest.
