Just thought I'd start a thread seeing as we are (well in Ireland anyway) stuck at home with the kiddos for the foreseeable....

A few sites I recommend for home educating:
Twinkl
ABC Mouse

Just enjoy the time off with them at home and do whatever the school instructs. Unless they're older and have GCSE syllabuses I wouldn't worry too much unless they're off for weeks and weeks.

I’m a secondary school teacher, and I recommend Seneca for GCSE students to revise from.

Mine use it anyway for their revision, and it’s very engaging.

Our school has sent ALL their books home with a detailed plan for about an hours work a day. I was quite impressed with their quick response although I guess they’d been planning ahead.

Mine are in year 8 and 10 so I am concerned about DD in year 10 as anything missed will affect her GCSE's next year. I will have to try to home ed her and i hope the school will be able to give us enough to do at home so they aren't behind when they go back. There is so much content that a few weeks off will cause big problems.
