What is it actually like in Italy?

We are all obviously aware that Italy is in ‘lockdown’ but I’m not totally sure what that means. I was thinking today - as I listened to the radio - are things like the radio and tv still transmitting as normal, as though there’s no problem?
I know cafes, schools, non grocery shops etc are shut but are people still get medicines they need? Are they still being seen for routine medical problems that aren’t cv related? Can you go for a walk outside or is everyone essentially being told even that isn’t allowed.
