Aargh I’ve been so looking forward to this. Single parent, two kids, and have Centre Parcs booked next week. I won’t get back any money mad this is our main holiday of the year. I live in Ireland so flying over to UK for it.

I’m thinking of still going. Or should I cancel and lose all money (including all activities paid for) Confused

hi we have a trip with family and children this weekend and will not be cancelling unless it is cancelled on us. Children are aware this may be a possibility.
Like any outbreak - remember Avian flu, SARS, swine flu??? They just didn't seem to have the same PR company behind them like corona virus does.
Caution is needed - but id like to think people are washing their hands and covering coughs and sneezes but I realise people don't lol!
Current evidence shows that children (particularly those under 9) are the least at risk and often don't have symptoms.
Goes without saying that we don't want to spread it to those who are immunocompromised but the specialists are advising that 80% of the population are going to get it and not even realise they have had it or mild cold symptoms.
Also they suggest some of the safest places are the swimming pools chlorine tends to kill off most germs - cant say much for the verrucas though! lol
Anyway - I obviously understand why people are cautious - particularly if they have relatives with co morbidities or immunocompromised - but that's my thinking so far....it changes all the time, so who knows! haha
cheers - have a great time if you go!
