Donald Trump suspends travel, but not for UK

Donald trump has announced that he is stopping all travel coming in from Europe the next 30 days, but he's still allowing British people to travel to the USA. I'll link the video below. Why would he make an exception for us? We have it too and the cases here are rapidly increasing, it makes no sense to me.

I swear it's a mistake by him. In context it think he will meant to say "Anything coming from Europe is what we are discussing. These restrictions also do not apply to the United kingdom"

It's irrational. Are you saying you thought he was rational? There was no evidence he was rational before this, and there's still no evidence.

I wish he would include the UK. we have flights, hotel and shows booked in NY in two weeks time

Surely the UK will be included soon. We can still easily fly, train and ferry in an out of mainland europe. A little bit of sea doesn't stop the virus coming here. Anyone with holidays booked to the US should be prepared for it not to happen. Who actually wants to go on holiday anyway at the moment? It's not a holiday if you're constantly worried and watching your back, let alone if you end up quarantined and stuck.

I think it's only a matter of time.

Donald Trump doesn't understand that the UK is in Europe. He thinks brexit meant we are no longer in Europe. Like somebody picked up our islands and moved them.
