I've been feeling ok up until today, but seeing the situation in Italy and still no action and lack of testing from our government - I am afraid. Not even for my own health (I'm in my thirties and I'm sure I'll be ok if I get it) but for our life as we know it, the older members of my family, and in the UK in general.

I feel as though I'm sitting watching a Tsunami that's approaching the shore.

I'm freaking out.
I'm due to give birth in 4 weeks and I'm scared there will be hardly any hospital staff there and I'm worried I'll catch something while I'm in.
I'm high risk and have underlying health conditions.

NCTDN · 12/03/2020 22:06

@AmputatedSoul I'm sure everything will be fine Thanks

AmputatedSoul · 12/03/2020 22:13

@NCTDN thank you, I hope so. I'm not usually one to panic.
I just want to have the baby, get home and stay there with OH and my other child.
I've been trying to stay away from people for a while but there's no avoiding the hospital when the time comes. Home birth just isn't an option.

@NCTDN anyone with issues has been told to speak to their manager to try and facilitate everyone that needs help.
I will probably know more today but so far it looks like people will be able to work from home (so they can keep the kids with them), if this doesn't suit then they can change their working hours and work any 7 hours in the day that suit, even splitting shifts, working whichever days suit instead of being Monday to Friday 9-5

I'm 19, I have an autoimmune disease and I'm terrified as if I get it I will die.

I can't afford to live on statutory sick pay even after to raise given I don't/can't live with parents.

I get the train to work and am terrified of catching it at work. My hand sanitiser keeps getting taken from my desk so I have to keep it on me at all times now. Everyone in my office knows I have Lupus but still take things from my desk.

The only redeeming factor is my work May allow me to work from home if it gets any worse but not yet.

@anonprivate could you get a doctor to sign you off sick or state that for your health you need to be at home? I really feel for you Thanks

anonprivate · 13/03/2020 23:45

@nctdn I'm seeing my doctor on Monday so hopefully I'll be able to work from home! Thank you so much for your support 🥰
