Online orders for foodbanks
Brunelofbrio · 11/03/2020 12:35
I just found out that my local foodbank (very gratefully) accepts online deliveries. I am probably an idiot for not thinking about this before, but have now organised a shop for them.
It seemed a bit off to me to be thinking about topping up my own cupboards when others might be really struggling with this. As more of us go to online deliveries ( clear in my area as getting a slot is 10 x harder than it was 2 weeks ago), I worry that the collection bins at the supermarket will not be filled and the food banks could run out.
Can I suggest if you are able to that you consider checking to see if something simmilar exists in your area?

I asked our local food bank last week about what donations they need, and she just said they need volunteers! Maybe they have lots in stock, or get donations from supermarkets?
