In thinking the school should have told us about corona testing?

I posted a couple of weeks ago about two students from DS's school returning to school after half term (Winter break here) right after they'd got back from Milan.

They've been off the last couple of days and the head has confirmed with a parent that two kids have been tested for coronavirus.

He's refusing to say when or when the results are expected back.

My ds is immuno compromised (he's actually be off all week with a fever that got up to 41) and after hearing a stomach bug was going around now I'd decided to keep him home the rest of the week too.

I feel like I don't want him returning to school until I've heard whoever was tested has tested negative. Aibu?

And aibu to have expected the school to have informed parents? There must be cause for concern if the kids are home and being tested now?

Casino, you would think all parents would be keeping their children off in these situations.
I've heard this week from ex-colleagues, some of the parents still haven't changed. They still send their ill children into school, knowing classmates have serious health issues.

If your child is immunocompromised you should be keeping him as isolated as possible anyway.
Regardless of what is going on at school.
