What's the West End and public transport like? Are tubes less chaotic during rush hour? Can one move due to the lack of shuffling tourists? Are there less queues for, well, everything?

At rush hour there's no discernable impact I have noticed. Maybe a little quieter. Was rammed at 7 tonight when I was traversing north to south. A handful of people in face masks. Not sure about other locations during the day.

Not yet no, but I read on Twitter today that a TfL staff member has tested positive

lazeonthesofa · 09/03/2020 23:49

Yes but they are in head office not public facing!

Rush hour today was exactly the same as usual. You can’t tell anything is out of the usual

I travel on the Uxbridge to Baker St/Aldgate Met line getting off at Wembley to then catch the jubilee and I have found the mornings considerably quieter. Tonight though, whether due to delays on the Met line, was very busy. Definitely people are wfh however.

Damn. Was looking forward to a short break in London without the usual madness

In other news I happened to find two small bottles of hand sanitiser knocking about in my junk drawer and junk basket so my hoarding and impulse buying at checkouts has paid off 😁
