Will schools stay open when everyone with colds etc self isolate?

The government is saying that soon anyone with respiratory symptoms (including mild sniffles and colds) will be expected to self isolate for 7 days.

I've read on here that schools will remain open and class sizes increase if/when teachers need to be off. This I presume is not fact. Or is it?

If everyone else is self isolating why are the kids allowed to go and spread infections around? Isn't this going to mess the grand plan up?

Well that's 90% of the population have a cold at the minute so shall we all stay home . I think not , unless I feel ill I'll be going to work . If the schools stay open my child is going in .

I have two children who spend most of their time sneezing, coughing and having runny noses. I’m a single parent and a teacher. You’ll wipe out a lot of the teaching population who are available to work if you implement this.

6 children in my clasd had sore throats/ coughs today and another 3 were of with high temps/coughs. Schools will only close when the teachers are all ill and they can't get supply.

Good and about time if they are. However, I doubt they've said that at all as the economy is preferable to lives, from what they have actioned so far.
Schools won't close even though they should have done weeks ago. Leisure travel won't be stopped. We'll have a high percentage infected when kids go back after Easter, if they aren't all ill.
School shouldn't be but is being considered as childcare so important to the economy.
If you don't need the childcare and you are at home anyway, take them out and tell the gov to stuff their consequences. They certainly don't care about us. See how quickly they close Parliament and MP's self isolate, when cases increase.
