Why are they not stopping flights to effected countries??

I don't understand why people are still allowed to leave and enter back into the country without any checks. Surely being an island we should be able to contain it better then most!!

DH is Argentine national working in the USA. He has been waiting to fly home all week. Argentina has closed its borders even to people trying to repatriate. The embassy has said this will be looked at everyday.
