If insurance won't pay out to cancel

Is it fair to assume they will cover the costs of a quarantine in the hotel?

I am thinking in particular of a school trip of 4 days in Naples so insurance is school insurance taken out at time of booking the trip last year.

It should pay out for delayed departure/enforced stay. How much it will pay per day is dependent on the limits under the policy.

I guess I ought to be asking the school exactly what is covered before deciding if the trip is worth the risk.
