Is that I now realise how stupid and selfish some people are, there I was getting on with my life not knowing what a bunch of bigoted idiots a portion of the population are.

I just read about an infected man receiving death threats because he caught a virus, there's been reports of racial abuse and of course the general stupidity of buying all the paracetamol, toilet paper and food that other people might also need.

I saw people I know well covering their faces as an Asian family walked past, because of course an Asian person must have Coronavirus Hmm. These are the same people who won't wash their hands regularly or wipe surfaces because "if you're going to get it, you're going to get it". Also, "it doesn't affect young people"- well that's alright then.

We should be acting for the good of others and most of what I see is people just acting for themselves.

This kind of mentality will not help stem the spread, I really

Meh. I am old enough not to be remotely surprised at human stupidity.
But I do think the silent majority will go about their business without being a self centered arse.
You'll only notice / read about the arses, because generally they are the only ones that are newsworthy! (By that I mean, you will never ever hear a news header "Today and for the last thousands of years millions and millions of people went about their business doing no harm to anyone"
