Are your kids going to other schools on visits?

The government is deciding about keeping schools open and we know there are big implications for closing them. But I just want to raise the issue of visits to other primary schools. Will our kids really miss out that much if they don’t go to other schools for singing competitions or skipping tournaments? I know we don’t want to over-react but we are trying to help the government to limit the spread of a virus that is deeply unpleasant for many people or worse. And we have also been told that primary kids are among the worst for sharing germs. Seems to me a small thing to say, ‘stay in your own school and do your normal lessons’ just at the moment. Our NHS deserves all the help we can give it.

I agree they should all stay put

They haven't even said no overseas school/college trips never mind staying in the UK, DD is due to go to Italy soon and that is still going ahead as far as we can tell.

We have a big concert with all the other schools in our area next week. And a zoo trip.
