There are fewer than 100 cases, we could still contain it. Have the government lost their minds?

The two are not mutually exclusive, we can still make every effort to contain it whilst also trying to slow the inevitable down. Seems eminently sensible to me.

There’s fewer than 100 cases that they know about.
111 have been turning tons of people away unless they've travelled to China or Italy. However in my opinion it’s likely millions of international tourists have been and gone leaving the virus for the community to pick up on and spread within the Uk, given theres been no travel restrictions whatsoever or prevention measures. (Thats my opinion not fact, I live in a very tourist heavy area and have personally been in face to face contact with so many international tourists from Asia, Far East, US the last few months and I don’t see how we couldn’t have had one or two cases pass through).
They government have very clearly said community transmission is already happening.

They’re taking advice from the doctors and scientists, who do you think has lost their minds exactly?

My friend just told that her other friend arrived from the infected area in Italy and got ill four days after returning. She called 111 but they are not testing her because she didn't show symptoms in Italy... I wonder how many cases like that are around.
