Hey all, I’ve posted here and in childminder thread, hope that’s ok!!
I have messaged My insurance company, PACEY, but I’m aware it could take a few days for them to reply so wanted to ask people on here also.
I have public liability and employers insurance, should we have to close would my insurance cover loss of earnings?
I have read my policy but it’s full of jargon and I’m unsure. I think if my employee got coronavirus I would be covered but I’m not sure whether we would be if I got it, or if any of the children got it?
If anyone can offer any clarity I would appreciate it

Yes, it would, or should. We will be paying out on business interruption and liability claims - coronavirus does not impact this

Aridane · 03/03/2020 11:11

Just to clarify - this isn’t really a coronavirus issue but whether you have business interruption cover

Aridane · 03/03/2020 11:12

EL and PL is not business interruption cover

Chocolatedaim · 03/03/2020 12:23

Ahhh ok, I need to check I have Buisness interruption cover, thank you for that

Can insurance is usually for parents or children who hurt themselves etc. Don't think it covers any loss of business.

Chocolatedaim · 03/03/2020 18:24

forrestgreen ply insurance company got back to me and as I paid extra I should be covered for loss of earnings. Provided it’s a case of confirmed coronavirus and I am not just self isolating
