This has footage from home videos shot by a Gazan in 2021 which shows the human side of what has happened, the beauty of what it was like before and watching normal people go about their business.

Thank you. I'll check it out later.
Bless the poor Palestinians. Such a long-suffering people.
Short of boycotting Israeli & US goods, signing petitions and writing to my MP, I don't feel I'm doing nearly enough to help them, and don't know what to do.
The injustices of the last two-and-a-half years or so are just unbearable to think about, and the world has become such a dark place primarily because of the far-right in Israel (note not all Israelis, and I condemn anti-Semitism totally)
The world is exhausting with Trump and Netanyahu as world leaders 😔

It would be wonderful if people could live in peace and get along with each other.

I don't just blame the US and Israel for that though. There might be the little matter of Iranian proxy terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah firing those pesky missiles over and over, and then, there was October 7th of course. I mean they could have just ignored those things 🤷 but if they did, would they happen again and again, like the missiles do.

My point is, I don't think any country would ignore constant missile attacks and ignore a terrorist attack such as October 7th. The resultant conflict, how long it went on, and the subsequent destruction of Gaza, a different matter, difficult to compare to what other countries might do, they didn't face that. I feel immensely sad at the entire situation.

The innocents are the ones I feel for, the people who just want to live their lives in peace whether Gazan or Israeli. I would hope one day that might happen.

Obviously October 7th was absolutely terrible, that goes without saying, and I of course feel desperately sorry for all innocents everywhere who are caught up in conflict.
I also feel desperately sad about the situation altogether.
But, the thing is that the Palestinians have been suffering oppression and humiliation for so many decades now. It didn't start on October 7th. So, I do think the far-right racist supremacists in Israel (again not all Israelis, and definitely not most Jews) as well as their American counterparts, especially the fundamentalist 'Christians' (not Jewish) are more to blame for the current instability in the middle-east. I just do. You're of course entitled to a different opinion.
I'm a pacifist though, so I oppose all violence, and don't really understand the human race on the whole. The madness of tribalism and war - you'd think homo sapiens would have learnt the futility of it by now 😔

I cannot even imagine the horrors hidden inside of Gaza. If prominent figures were prepared to put their head on the block speaking out then it must be far worse than we can image.
The city of rubble.

I agree with you, and I wonder if the other poster watched the whole video before posting.

As well as being a pacifist I am a realist though, and I feel sure that the wars are being pushed and justified by a very small but incredibly wealthy powergroup, for geopolitical purposes and to make money. Only arms manufacturers, bankers and insurers gain from war.

But at the same time, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is good, as the more things are debated the more chance there is that all normal people from all parts of the globe will not want to be driven apart, will see throught the manipulation, and will stop wanting to fight eachother, and so the fighting will end.
