Israel attacked Palestinian water sources over 250 times in five years,

Such practices in Gaza, but also in other armed conflicts such as Sudan, constitute violations of international law, and have been documented as patterns of behaviour that constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, that in the case of Gaza in particular, are an important part of a genocidal strategy,” said Arrojo.

“Israel has systematically used water to displace and segregate the Palestinian population in their own territories, illegally occupied since 1967, as part of its strategy of apartheid and progressive colonization,” he added.

A genocide. Let's say it as it is.

So shocking. It is not antisemitic to be horrified by these atrocities which are authorised by the Israeli government, against the wishes of many Jewish people.

Everexpanding · 11/11/2025 22:01

I agree @Andromed1

Totally agree. For example, Jews Against Genocide are such a vocal group and there are so many amazing Jewish people speaking out. Zack Polanski is great too. Aggressive Zionism makes the whole world unsafe. Where is international law? Never again was for everyone.

They’ve been at it for years. And the world knew, but turned a blind eye. No doubt someone will be along to say “but Hamas” soon….

As well as the settler attacks, supported by the IDF, on water sources for Palestinians, official Israeli policy towards the Palestinians is vile. Palestinians are not allowed to collect rainwater with the water butts smashed if they do. They are restricted to at best, 70 litres of water per person per day but sometimes much lower. Well below the WHO recommended minimum of 100 litres per day. They are not allowed permits to drill wells or connect to the existing water network. They suffer deliberate, frequent and sometimes prolonged periods of water cuts. Basically, Palestinians go thirsty and watch their crops wither and die while just a few hundred metres away in an Israeli settlement, the Israelis sit by their full swimming pool watching their sprinkler system water their plush lawn from an unlimited water supply. And Israel tries to claim it is not an Apartheid state. Yeah right.

Commiserations to all those above on this thread who hate Israel with such a burning passion yet seem to spend such an outsize portion of their own time thinking and writing about that which they hate. Must be mentally exhausting.

Actually not so much exhausting as frustrating knowing that our bought and paid for political leaders still allow this to happen. If they are not going to do anything about it, it is up to the people to highlight the atrocities and show our disgust.

Yes unfortunately for Israel’s supporters many people still believe in (and yes are passionate) about equal rights and human rights and basic dignity and right to life for all.

Like most states committing genocide they want the world to look away while they quietly “get the job done” to quote Ben Gvir and Smotrich who frequently spout such evil genocidal hatred.

I’m afraid the “boo boo you just don’t like us” doesn’t work anymore when SO many Jewish people worldwide are saying Not In Our Name.

Judaism and Zionism are not the same thing. One is a peaceful religion of love and community, the other is a violent genocidal military colonial project.

I don't hate Israel. Saying that being horrified by the genocide is antisemitic is pure propaganda. I want the Israeli state to stop killing innocent civilians. So do plenty of Jewish people.

Well to quote a poster on another thread the Pro Israelis only like to deal with facts, not hyperbole. These are facts. What you posted looks like hyperbole.

These aren’t facts. They’re accusations from one side seeking to demonise the other, to paint themselves as the victim.

That’s the facts.

Do you have anything to say about the attacks by Israel on Palestinian water sources? Or the control on the amount of water that Israel allows Palestinians to have? Would you condemn that? Or are you in favour of such actions?

What's the source for this please? I'm not disputing, just would like to know more about this.

There are multiple sources. I've listed a few above.

CrispyKnees · 12/11/2025 09:06

As usual, one sided accusations are not facts:

Palestinian well drilling has been cited in some reports as a contributing factor to the depletion and contamination of shared water sources in the West Bank, which in turn has impacted water availability for both Palestinian and Israeli communities.
Impact of Illegal Palestinian Wells

  • Aquifer Depletion/Contamination: Unregulated drilling and a lack of sufficient wastewater treatment facilities in Palestinian areas have contributed to the over-extraction and pollution of the shared Mountain Aquifer, a primary water source for both populations.
  • Agricultural Impact: A 2014 paper noted that illegal Palestinian well drilling led to reduced agricultural activity by Israeli farmers in nearby valleys due to a decrease in natural water discharge.
  • Water Loss: Reports have also indicated a significant amount of water supplied to the Palestinian Authority is lost to leakage due to poor pipeline conditions and illegal connections to the main water infrastructure.

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that Israel allows Palestinians to have internet connectivity (it is controlled by Israel) to enable them to report on all the evil Jew doing but doesn’t let them have water?
