The most moral army ??? This is what supporters of the IDF are backing, no this is not just war

“Daniel Raab shows no hesitation as he watches footage of 19-year-old Salem Doghmosh crumpling to the ground beside his brother in a street in northern Gaza.
“That was my first elimination,” he says. The video, shot by a drone, lasts just a few seconds. The Palestinian teenager appears to be unarmed when he is shot in the head.

Raab, a former varsity basketball player from a Chicago suburb who became an Israeli sniper, concedes he knew that. He says he shot Salem simply because he tried to retrieve the body of his beloved older brother”

Horrific just horrific 😢

Divastrout · 10/09/2025 09:11

I read the article and honestly I was speechless at how casual the sniper was.
This conflict has shown how people can be so dehumanised and murdered so very casually.
We are living in very troubling times indeed

But, but, but, fake news.

No, he was armed and a threat.

No, doctored footage.

No, Hamas.

There, justifications made and out of the way, so that we can focus on the actual story here - another example of someone being murdered simply because they are Palestinian and the killer getting away with it.

That's awful. Poor family.

Horrific. I became aware of Raab and Graetz’s actions last year when I saw Younis Tirawi's documentary. Shocking that it took this long for mainstream media to investigate this. Here's the link to Younis Tirawi's documentary.

You would have to wonder how this young man was radicalised? No 'normal' person wakes up one day and decides to join a foreign army, calmly kills civillians and talks about it like it's a perfectly acceptable thing to do. Is this radicalisation happening in the US and by who?

ScrollingLeaves · 10/09/2025 12:30

I think those foreign IDF murderers-in-cold-blood may be mentally sick individuals going abroad to Israel satisfy their lust to kill - like the Jihadi John types did with ISIS.

Regarding some separate BBC news today,
Anti-Islamic US biker gang members run security at deadly Gaza aid sites
The firm guarding sites where aid is distributed in Gaza has been using members of a US biker gang with a history of hostility to Islam to run its armed security, a BBC investigation has found…….. (continued)

@ScrollingLeaves that article is so disturbing, I thought I was beyond being shocked. Self professed crusaders in charge of aid what could do wrong

“shoot first, ask questions later”

“The system is as not doing all it could to protect civilians”

speaking of “killing the entire population of Gaza became almost normal”

“Burn every house we are coming out of”

These are some quotes from a CNN clip of 2 former Israeli reservists brave enough to speak out.

One said that their family and friends were more worried they would be harmed by their interviews they are giving - presumably in Israel- than they would have been in Gaza!

Further evidence of disregard of Palestinian lives by the world’s most “moral army.”

Makes me think of “doublespeak” in 1984- the real enemy is reality.

Hear why some Israeli reservists would rather risk prison than go back to fight in Gaza | CNN

Like thousands of Israeli reservists, Michael Ofer Ziv and Yuval Green were called up to war following the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7th. After serving in Gaza and witnessing the military’s destructive approach, they tell CNN’s Jeremy Diam...
