I was horrified but not surprised to hear the detail from Tony Aguilar, previous US Green Beret and ex GHF contractor of what he witnessed in Gaza in recent interviews.
He has served in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan amongst other places and said nothing compares to Gaza. He has never witnessed anything as brutal, violent and destructive as in Gaza. What he saw far oversteps the international law of warfare.
There are only 4 GHF secure distribution sites in Gaza replacing what was 400 sites prior to the blockade and stopping of UN aid. 3 of the 4 are within a few hundred metres of each other, all in the far South-East enclave of Gaza near Egypt border. Not near people that need it and no aid is getting through the Netzarim corridor. No aid is getting to people in Gaza city and Jabalia.
They are conducting active offensive military operations in the same area as the GHF sites are located - this in itself is a clear war crime.
He saw starvation. People are facing mass starvation. He personally witnessed parents, both men and women carrying their dead children in their arms, skeletons. The people coming onto the GHF sites were emaciated.
GHF is not delivering enough aid - in there own press conference stated 96 million meals in 65 days - that works out as 15 days food out of 65 days.
IDF asked him - why are you feedingour enemy. He said IDF treated civilians like animals, even the US contractors would call them the zombie hoardes.
People have to walk 8 to 12 miles a day to get to the GHF sites. There is no provision of water at the sites. They queue in their thousands and IDF shoot live rounds at them to try to crowd control to keep them on the right path, its dark, early morning and IDF conscript reservists in south have no night vision capability, shooting live rounds into the dark at thousands of people.
25,000 boxes are stripped and taken by thousands of people in 8 minutes of mayhem which he says is the most deprived and dehumanising thing he has seen in his life.
Using tear gas spray in size of fire extinguishers.
A boy called Amir was picking up scraps of food, spoke to him, he was very emaciated, no shoes and rope holding his pants up. He goes out exit, after walking 8 km to get there and only taking scraps left and was shot and killed at the exit.
He spoke about how the IDF lack training, standards and basic human decency.
