Reading the threads over the recent period it is clear that lots have very little to do but scaremonger, make things up and love the drama of the Middle East troubles. It feels like a different site reading the threads on this section. Glad it's hidden, it's crazy.

Ever thought of toning it down and attempting to get along. No wonder some of the countries in the ME don't get along if just chatting about it over there causes this amount of argument. Even basic history gets twisted to suit the victim/aggressor viewpoint.

I feel for all the innocents everywhere, the ones who get the headlines and the ones who are forgotten. The world is a mad place and not fair.

Isn’t it telling that the focus is on whether the phrase is ‘cringeworthy’ rather than the fact that people are being shot while trying to collect food aid?

Extremely.

Very telling.

I wish MN had an ignore button for certain people - other sites do.

Me too.

Oh absolutely.

Very telling.

I think it's very telling that playground analogies have to be assigned to something, that's meant to be viewed as serious. Make your minds up.

@fixingmylife we already know civilians are getting shot close to aid sites.

No need to make comparisons to an American film franchise.

If anything that seems to minimise what is happening.

For which I had already apologised for. A second telling off for it really wasn’t necessary and quite patronising.

@veiledsentiments You said you will avoid using emotive language which I thanked you for.

I was talking to someone else when I made the point about The Hunger Games which is why I tagged @fixingmylife not you.
