Read this earlier.

Gives an interesting insight into the trails of those who participated in the violence last year. 5 have been convicted so far, 4 imprisoned for their part in the attacks.

Not so much of a “violence always happens at football matches” situation…

Excellent piece - and gets to one of the main nubs of the issue which is western antisemitism coupled with anti-Arab racist paternalism which means that stupid white people on keffiyehs think they know better than the “silly Palestinians” and of course when they say “we want to target Jews” they “dont really mean it durrr”

It's frightening that people are so easily incited into a violent mob. Lord of the Flies in real life with grown arse men.

For many years antisemitism has bubbled under the surface in the UK too, well, not always under the surface. I'd like to think that wouldn't happen here but then I suppose the super liberal Dutch thought the same.

Interesting times.

"New details are emerging about the pogrom in Amsterdam last year. We now know this was an openly racist “Jew hunt” in which people of “Jewish descent” were targeted. Shame on the leftists who hid the truth about this wicked crime, says Brendan O’Neill"

A Jew hunt. Awful. Seeing people saying they weren't Jewish to avoid being harmed is appalling. Anti semitism is a huge problem.

Very worrying. The attempts to reframe the incidents as the fault of the Maccabi fans is also very concerning

We're always being told that we are weaponising anti semetism, that we're imagining it, that we're too quick to call things anti semetic...it's so tiresome.

It's often used on MN, it's imagined, it doesn't exist etc.

I think the hatred for Jewish people/Israel is very entrenched.
