Conflict in the Middle East

The terrorists from Yemani seem to want to keep going. Perhaps they would rather no ceasefire!

I'm pretty sure Israel aren't interested in a ceasefire or if they are they are giving the Palestinians a ridiculous deal.

I haven't heard the terms of the ceasefire yet. Do you know what they are?

Netanyahu has made his intentions clear since October 07, regarding Gaza, and has rejected numerous proposals of a ceasefire. He doesn't care about the hostages or the deaths of civilians on both sides.
He has a warrant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The main obstacle to peace is the Israeli government, not the Houthis.

We haven't heard of the terms of possible ceasefire yet? Have you heard its not going ahead?
There's always hope.

It's Netanyahu sabotaging a deal once again, he always has. He cares more about his political status than the people he stands for.

Unfortunately, experience has taught me that Netanyahu will deliberately give impossible conditions for Hamas to accept and then blame them for the failure to secure a ceasefire. A quick google will confirm this.

Whereas Hamas will of course agree to any terms (obviously not). 🙄 glad more optimistic and people with balance are running the talks

As I have already said, a quick search will tell you who has refused the ceasefire deals the most. Clue. It isn't Hamas.
I am a realist and I do not voice an opinion unless I can back it up with facts.
I would also like to add that before you accuse me of imbalance, I suggest you examine your own bias. After all, as Bob Marley said, "before pointing fingers make sure your hands are clean."

YoYoYoYo12345 · 22/12/2024 17:21

It feels like some don't want a ceasefire agreement so they can continue moaning. 🙄

Is this directed at me? Then please have the courage of your conviction and address me directly.

Moaning about what? The war crimes, the crimes against humanity that Netanyahu is accused of? You bet I will carry on "moaning" about it as anyone with an ounce of humanity would.
There will be a ceasefire, no doubt, a ceasefire that could have been achieved many months ago but for Netanyahu's desire to evade a trial for fraud. War have good for him; it has enabled him to remain in power so far.

Everything isn't about you. It's possible to generalise, I do realise many people no longer visit these threads but I understand some read and not comment. Obviously you thought it might be you for some reason though 🤔

There's a lot of moaning generally about the lack of ceasefire agreement. I still hold hope for one. When there's a possibility there at least some light at the end of the tunnel.

You can also have 'an ounce of humanity' but not moan on MN. I doubt if the people running things read MN to be fair 😂

Maybe, just maybe it's because your post came straight after mine? Not exactly illogical to think that it was directed at me. Elementary, my dear Watson.

The IDF have done a massive bombing of southern Lebanon today as their daily violation of the Hezbollah ceasefire. I imagine even if there is a Hamas-IDF ceasefire agreed IDF is going to violate that one too within hours just like they did and have been doing with Hezbollah.

I think you might find that Hamas have also rejected peace deals. But don't let your feelings mask the truth.

SummerFeverVenice · 22/12/2024 19:21

Neither is genuinely interested in peace because neither is willing to address the root causes of the conflict. Any ceasefire agreed on will be temporary imho.

Whatsinanamehey · 22/12/2024 19:29

The IDF have amped up their attack on the Kamal Adwan hospital and amid heavy fire have asked for the impossible task for the entire hospital to be evacuated. There are no words for their depraved orders and total lack of humanity. So no, I don't think they are interested in peace in the slightest. The pope was quite right when he said this isn't a war, it is just cruelty.

Please read my posts again. I used the term "the most", which implies a comparison was made. Don't let your feelings mask the facts.
