'No Civilians. Everyone's a Terrorist': IDF Soldiers Expose Arbitrary Killings

I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but it's pretty horrific accounts of what is happening on the ground in Gaza from members of the IDF.

"Calling ourselves the world's most moral army absolves soldiers who know exactly what we're doing," says a senior reserve commander who has recently returned from the Netzarim corridor. "It means ignoring that for over a year, we've operated in a lawless space where human life holds no value. Yes, we commanders and combatants are participating in the atrocity unfolding in Gaza. Now everyone must face this reality."

We cross posted! I'll post the link to the archive version of the article and ask mumsnet to remove my thread so that there's only 1.

Absolutely horrendous. And there are loads of people who still say that there's no genocide in Gaza. And there's still people say Israel has the "best combatant to civilian ratio in urban warfare" of 2 civilians for 1 combatant, which still isn't good enough. Out of the 1,135 victims on October 7th, 759 were civilians. Isn't that a similar ratio? It still was an absolutely horrific terrorist attack and I doubt people would appreciate it if the ratio was used to downplay October 7th the same way as the deaths in Gaza are downplayed. But here they admit that's it's 200 civilians for 10 combatants, that's 20 to 1. And they just shoot these people down! And children!

I still remember the heart breaking video of a woman with her very young son. hey were both shot. The mother was killed and the son was wounded. The people trying to help couldn't get to them, they had to try to get him to grab onto a plank of wood so he could be dragged to safety. It definitely a genocide if things like this are a matter of policy.

It is shocking, it sounds out of control in many ways. I saw this same Haaretz article too yesterday and posted in the ‘reality of what Israel is doing’ doing thread. It may be better for this article to have its own thread though.

This from an IDF soldier is very true:
People don't understand – this doesn't just kill Arabs, it kills us too."
