Ever look at how many suicide attacks the Palestinians committed before the Gaza blockade?

Gaza was blocked by Israel in 2007 due to increasing suicide attacks committed by Gazan Palestinians in Israel. Take a look at how many there were! No wonder Israel created a blockade.

HRW has long been the laughing stock of the international community for their reports. Years.

One of the reports they wrote on Iraq said that Yezidi women had grossly exaggerated the crimes committed against them. They pulled it after an outcry in early 2019

Oh really, please back up this claim, who exactly thinks this?

I notice nobody has actually said anything to say about the content of the article. They have simply tried to deflect it.

I don't really understand your point? Israel kill 100s of Palestinians pretty much every year. How many Israeli settler attacks take place against Palestinians every year? Does that mean that Israel should be illegally occupied and denied their right to exist?

Take a random year 2021, Israel killed 319 Palestinians and 295 Palestinian homes were demolished on Israeli authorities orders leaving 100s of children and adults homeless. Israel are hardly lovely neighbours themselves are they. Would you be as blasé about Israelis being collectively punished for the death and destruction caused to Palestinians?

@PeasfullPerson I would be ever so grateful if you stopped being rude

I don't understand because your post is so far off topic I can't think why you posted it on this particular thread

It's not a long thread so you can't say the topic had evolved

Thanks @Babycatsarenice it does help with understanding of why Israel had to take security very seriously.

"The first suicide attack was carried out in 1989. The high point was in 2002 during the Second Intifada.[3] The Al-Aqsa Intifada saw a dramatic upswing in suicide bombings, with A, 40% of the total number originated in East Jerusalem.[a] A 2007 study of Palestinian suicide bombings during the Second Intifada (September 2000 through August 2005) found that 39.9% of the suicide attacks were carried out by Hamas, 26.4% by Fatah, 25.7% by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), 5.4% by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and 2.7% by other organizations. The attacks steeply declined by 2008.[3] "

I see after 2008 due to Israel's hard line on preventing suicide attacks the attacks dropped significantly and Hamas et al struggled to recruit volunteers.

That's really interesting OP and gives an insight into a proportion of the Gazan population. You only get suicide bombings with extremely committed ideology in this case one probably supported by religion as well as tribal grievance. In fact those who perpetrated October 7th were suicide combatants as there was no way many were getting back to Gaza alive.

We are rarely given this perspective on the media as it muddied the water in terms of the victim status of the Palestinian people. As people say Palestine = good Israel = bad simples.

We have to ask the question how many Palestinian men are groomed for martyrdom and will this inevitably continue? When we see images for. Gaza we don't see young men actively joining Hamas as this is obviously occuring nor do we see the vociferous hate for Israel.

I think you're right...but for the population now, the things they were taught (and were taught in UNWRA schools) ..it's insideous the hate for Jewish people now, it's going to take a long time to de-radicalise the population and show them there is a better way. This war won't have warmed them to Israel generally ( although I know there are a sizeable proportion of Palestinians who do support Israel, they are too small do do anything significant without outside support).

Pro Palestinian supporters reinforcing hatred of Israel
I take this accusation extremely seriously. Is this a fact ( if it is, you need to provide evidence) or just your opinion?
Do pro Israeli government supporters reinforce hatred of Palestinians?
