Survey findings by the INSS, looking at opinions held by people in Israel regarding various issues relating to the current conflict, including: support for and trust in military and political bodies; the importance or otherwise of international law and ethical standards; approaches to the disciplining of individuals suspected of gang rape; enlistment in the IDF.

"The latest Swords of Iron survey was conducted between August 08–11, 2024, by the Data Analytics Desk at the Institute for National Security Studies. The fieldwork was carried out by "iPanel". A total of 992 men and women were interviewed online, of which 772 were interviewed in Hebrew and 200 in Arabic, constituting a representative sample of the adult Israeli population in Israel aged 18 and over. The maximum sampling error for the entire sample is ± 3.5% at a 95% confidence level." (from the website, regarding their view on the survey being representative of the population).

Thank you, it is very interesting to see these views.

I particularly noticed that Arabs took a different view about the effects of the Israeli assassinations in the questions shown in charts 9 and 10, seeing them as more likely to make matters worse regarding security for Israel and the hostages. I wondered if was that being Arabs they had insight into how other Arabs might react?
