What terrible news for the Middle East and for the world. We need a moderate alternative to Hamas, if there are to be peace negotiations, and Hamas should not be given political power.

Change can come about in different ways, it doesn’t have to involve bombs and warfare @Gunnersforthecup

I am as worried about the Israeli government carrying on in its current form as I would be about Hamas governing in its current form, it doesn’t say that this is what would happen.

Yes, I realise that change does not need to involve bombs and warfare.

It appears that Hamas does not understand this, nor the PLO, given their history of terrorism.

What a clunker of an announcement as the Olympics open (the PLO has murdered several Olympic athletes).

gingergran · 27/07/2024 13:30

Hamas and Fatah do this on a regular basis but nothing seems to come of it as in-fighting takes priority.

If they do actually join up it is a disaster for moderate Middle East states and politics and increases Iran’s area of influence

I didn't realise Olympic Atheletes had been murdered 😢

@Kriscross there was a massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes in Munich in 1972 by Palestinian terrorists.

Thanks, I misunderstood I thought someone meant this Olympics

Pffft. Some terrorists sign a pact with some other terrorists, brokered by a tyranny and funded by the Iranian regime of medieval homicidal maniacs.

Good work all round! 👍
