An Israeli and Palestinian talk peace, dignity and safety

I found this a v moving and inspiring TED interview that took place last week. If only these men were in places of leadership for their respective people. I feel both Israelis and Palestinians have been badly let down by their leaders.

Yes, I find it all so heartbreaking. And although not religious at all, I pray for peace and sensible leaders across the World who realise peace is something valuable and lives are not disposable.

A valid point is made 'there are a lot of people on the outside who are poisoning the well', 'Palestinians should leave or Israelis should leave, no both should remain'.

He is right the chants and interference and polarisation of views from outside doesn't help the situation. You see it here on mumsnet too. People that live there, like these 2 individuals should decide the way forward. People like this are the best solution for all.

Absolutely. If you look at any peace talks and peace processes that have worked across the world, more often then not it came about as a result of true leadership, people that were sick to death of the status quo that wanted change and were willing to work hard and compromise for it and bring people with them. It is not easy and it won't happen with the current leaders, they are not the right people for it.
