Why on earth is this not front page news!!

Not only was this poor child raped but the Israeli government shut down the human rights group that spoke up, stole their computers and labelled it a terrorist organisation the day after the accusations were brought to them by US State Department Official who investigated and labelled the allegations credible.

Further reports from save the children - pre Oct 7th detailing how Palestinian children are strip searched and touched in a sexual nature whilst detained in Israel. It also details the beatings and other abuse children receive.
The children in this report were between the ages of 12 and 17 when this abuse occurred.

Yeah rape has happened on both sides. Both sides are ridiculous, the whole thing is a mess. I’m getting sick of these threads now.

Hopefully one day everyone will learn from what’s happened. They will learn to think for themselves. They will want true peace.

There will be no ceasefire until the IDF are satisfied that they have dismantled Hamas and possibly not even then as there will always be more terrorists waiting in the wings with the intention of repeating the October massacre as they have vowed to do.
Objectors to the actions of the IDF would do better in supporting the Palestinian people in overthrowing Hamas and ending the bloodshed.... that is course if they want that.

Israel also holds the record for detaining the youngest child, an 11 month old and her 2 year old sibling. They were separated from their mother and all three were detained when the family went to visit the father who was being detained without charge. They were imprisoned in November 2014, this article was written in December 2014 when it seems they were still being held.

No amount of propaganda can hide how awfully they behave.

I've posted about this on multiple threads, and not a single Pro-Israel person has expressed any sadness let alone condemned it. Its just met with whataboutery and Hamas.

I have never seen this level of blind loyalty and Nationalism, it really is Israel above all else.

As Biden more or less alluded to earlier, the world is fast losing sympathy for Netanyahu’s extremist government.

Reading some of these threads it really doesn't feel like the support for Israel is waning. I'm shocked that every day people living here in the UK can read about systemic child rape and shrug their shoulders.

The last two have been a real eye opener for me.

@Struggggggling I don't think there is a lot of support for Israel at all (in the UK, at least). Maintaining awareness of the crimes of the IDF, such as this thread, is helpful too, I feel. Many people probably don't realise just how badly and inhumanely they treat Palestinians.

I don't think some of the views we see on here are generally reflective of wider society.
In reality I would hope that most people do empathise and feel horror reading about such things regardless of what ethnicity or race the victim is.
There is a reason why the overwhelming majority voted for a ceasefire and I think that's a better indicator than comments on here

So please don't feel disheartened

I've heard plenty of people say they support Palestine, I've never heard anyone support Israel in real life. Don't lost hope. People can be cruel but people can be incredibly humane and caring too.

The point is we are being told all about Hamas crimes. Israel holds themselves as the victims and the ones who have the moral high ground. That's the whole point that seems to have gone over your head.

It's awful. As are the many many stories coming out of Israeli women and girls being raped in this conflict. It's never ok and yes every single case should be reported but to my knowledge none are given much airtime.
