Love all these recommendations. I am not religious but I'm praying in my own way for peace.

Hadeel Fairtrade Palestinian Crafts
Fairtrade Palestinian Crafts
https://www.hadeel.org/

Hadeel is a non-profit Fairtrade shop located in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Hadeel shop is run by by the UK charity Palcrafts. Our aim is to provide a sustainable source of income and support for Palestinian craftspeople and artisans in The West Bank, The Gaza Strip, Galilee, The Negev and Palestinian communities within Lebanon and Israel. Additionally, we support Palestinian farmers. We carry olive oil, dates, condiments and olive oil products such as Nablus olive oil soap.

Many of our suppliers are grassroots social enterprises helping women bring their products to market.

Our history begins in Jerusalem. During the first Palestinian Intifada, Carol Morton, the wife of the late Rev. Colin Morton of the St. Andrews Scottish Church in Jerusalem, began a small project called Craftaid. It grew to become the Jerusalem based organisation Sunbula in 1996. When Carol retuned to Scotland, Hadeel was born as a sister shop to Sunbula, carrying many of the same goods. Hadeel is Arabic for the cooing of a dove and our dove logo symbolises the wish for peace.

Items from a Christian charity that sells items made by Christian Palestinians in Bethlehem eg:
https://acnuk.org/products/bethlehem-star-with-mother-of-pearl/

Landing page for items made in Holy Land & Syria:

I really like the cross made for holding, but unfortunately have no-one I could give it to anymore. We have a tree and celebrate Christmas for the kids, I'm thinking of buying the crochet tree ornaments and the dove 'Peace' magnet.

Great idea for a thread. Thanks OP.

Stomacharmeleon · 25/11/2023 11:19

I third @ChickHenLittle and @restabove suggestion. It's worth remembering that many of the hostages taken from the kibbutzim really championed peace and did a lot for the people of Gaza.
