Here are the names, ages, and ID numbers of more than 6,700 of the Palestinians killed so far in Israel's assault on Gaza.

The document below is an English-language version of the original Arabic list that the Palestinian Ministry of Health released in Gaza on October 26, 2023. It contains the names, ages, and ID numbers of 6,747 Palestinians who Israel killed in Gaza between October 7 and October 26. The list does not include the names of 281 victims, who, at the time, were still being identified by the ministry. Since the publication of this list, the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 8,300, with thousands more Gazans estimated to be trapped under the rubble.

As you move through the list, you will notice that dozens of the dead come from the same families. According to the health ministry, tens of Gazan families have been completely wiped off the Palestinian population registry. You will also notice the names of thousands of children. As of October 29, the child death toll in Gaza rose to 3,195. According to Save the Children, the number of children killed in Gaza in three weeks has surpassed the annual number of children killed in conflict zones since 2019.

It’s an absolutely devastating number. The injuries are also horrific.

Images of lifeless blown up women and children being carried out of rubbles didn't help so I'm hoping their names will. I've noticed middle aged/senior citizens, a lot of women and many children with the same surnames on the list which are from the same family. Yeah yeah the unarmed fleeing or hiding in their homes definitely represent Hamas and which justifies Israel to defend itself against women and children.

As of November 3:

36 journalists and media workers were confirmed dead: 31 Palestinian, 4 Israeli, and 1 Lebanese.
8 journalists were reported injured.
3 journalists were reported missing.
8 journalists were reported arrested.
Multiple assaults, threats, cyberattacks, censorship, and killings of family members.

When journalists are being killed it means Israel don't want what they are doing being reported.

Were it found to be true, this number of civilian casualties would be quite awful, devastating even. I would love to see more reliable sources.

But they forget that we are witnessing the horrors on live thanks to social media.

If you can stomach it you can see the dead on social media. The harrowing stuff I've seen makes me not at all surprised at the number. If you order it by age there are 6 pages of infants before you even get to the 1 year olds. I wonder if that would satisfy your need for a more reliable source.

It wouldn’t. This is a document released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health (=Hamas) and distributed in the English language by an organisation known to be antisemitic (no, not anti-Israel, antisemitic). As I sad - terrible, awful if found to be true. Are reputable news agencies picking it up?

The numbers are actually higher because a shit tonne of people are still under rubble. I have no desire to argue with a human who thinks it is ok to dispute numbers of innocent deaths. Even half would not make it acceptable. I would show compassion for a quarter. Goodbye.
