Israel has just told Al Quds hospital to evacuate (verifiable on instagram from various official sources, also Al Jazeera) 12,000 people are sheltering in hospital. Where do they want to go?

Beyond that will blame the other “team/guys” again??

I was going to come on here to open this thread - but found it was already here! Thank you, OP!

We will need Biden, Sunak, von der Leyen ... we are going to need our leaders to stand up and intervene!

You CANNOT let this happen. Because, if you do, there is a word for that:

"COMPLICIT"!

If anything happens to Al-Quds, anything at all: Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak, Ursula von der Leyen: there is BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!

You do not have to condone Hamas (and, I do NOT! - neither do you, as you keep on reassuring us!) in order to take a stance against war crimes!

On a practical note: can someone with a twitter account please also tweet this to the King?

I am seeing tons of POTUS, Rishi & Co. - but, and I am saying this as a republican: in all honesty, I think we may stand a better chance with KC III!

If we are going to be a monarchy and if "oh, but: diplomatic soft power" is such an argument for it: put your money where your moth is, your majesty!!!

I don't really know what you think Sunak, Biden etc can actually do

What?

AllWeWantToDo · 20/10/2023 20:12

It's absolutely horrific

Stop supporting a genocidal far right government with an out of control leader?

ssd · 20/10/2023 20:21

Sunak stood on a platform with Netanyahu and told him he wants him to win. I dont want him speaking for me, i detest him.

Yes, perhaps our leaders not embracing and reassuring a man condemning so many people to death is a start. Murderers don't really deserve a lovely cuddle and nice, supportive words.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 20/10/2023 20:40

@flufferknutter hmm somehow I don't think they will give a rats arse... they really do not care

What?

  1. don’t give Israel arms/ military support
  2. call for an immediate ceasefire
  3. us - don’t veto un mandates
  4. uk - don’t abstain from un mandates
  5. tell Israel to allow Egypt to open the Rafa crossing and let in the 100s of aid convoys rather than 20.
  6. look at this event as starting from the creation of the state of Israel rather than the 7 October 2023

It won't happen of course but everyone is going to keep on pretending it is and when it doesn't everyone will ignore that it didn't happen and start pretending the next horrific thing is going to happen.

Just like the last supposed hospital hit...

Im repulsed by isreal

ssd · 20/10/2023 22:22

I can't imagine how much the Palestinians must hate us British now, seeing Sunak up there with Netanyahu. I would hate us in their shoes.

And im further enraged at the support for this.

DontLeanOnTheKeyboard · 20/10/2023 22:28

I think they will kick off with the full offensive now Biden and Sunak have gone.

I can see a real turn of tide. I know a fair amount of people who were performative Israel supporters because they are Islamophobic. Even they are now saying that they are repulsed. 10 people turned up at a pro Israeli demo in my town. Previously this would have had hundreds at least (even if only for nefarious reasons).

zeddybrek · 20/10/2023 22:37

There is another protest in London I believe tomorrow in support of Palestinians. This reminds me of the very big protest before the war in Iraq, with the whole WMD fiasco. Oh there were no WMD.

What was the tag, not in my name. Something like that. Billions to Israel for arms to kill Palestinians, not in my name Rishi.

My growing concern is that this will trigger extremists of all sorts to attack British and American innocent civilians as we saw during the war in Afghanistan.

Our leaders have given Israel their blessing and a trigger to lunatics to potentially carry out random attacks in the UK.

Well that makes it OK then, tell a hospital to evacuate even though its bloody impossible. How much anxiety must the hospital staff and patients be going though due to that

You think that's OK?

Giving a warning is simply a protocol step so they can say those who were killed chose to stay there and be killed despite being warned to leave. We see that sentiment countless times on these threads that those who die chose not to leave when they were told so their death is their own fault and not Israel's fault. It is quite interesting to me how many twist very situation to make Israel blameless. For many, Israel can do no wrong.

One positive glimmer is that Hamas has started to release foreign hostages. Two American women (a mother and daughter - Judith and Natalie Ranaan) have been released. I saw previously Hamas had said they would do this and glad to see it is actually happening.

Yes, that's really quite a sweet gesture.

Well they could stop telling Israel they back them 100% for a start.

Reallifelurker · 22/10/2023 12:19

Oh and stop going them money and weapons
