Can anyone tell me what an implantation bleed is like???

I am mid cycle, and AF is not due for another 2 wks, and i have had a brown discharge which i normally have at the end of my cycle, and have onyl had it at the beginning when it was the start of a MC. I am not pregnant, as far as i know. I have never ever had anything happen mid cycle, and i am roughly a week past OV, so was wondering and hoping that this may be an implantation bleed, anyone got any ideas???Please be honest, don't want to get my hopes up too high, but do want your honest thoughts.

Sorry would be interested to know too. I have had an early period which never got off the ground, that is the symptoms sound similar to yours and i brushed it off as early not very heavy period. Ring NHS direct.

I had implantation bleed with my DD. It was exactly 8 days after ovulation. It was a heavy spot of bright red blood. I thought my period had started early but only the one spot nothing else. Then 1 week later I missed my period and had a positive test

I had an implantation bleed with my dd. It was a few spots of dark blood and a few times it was bright red too. It was about 2 weeks after ovulation and 4 days after a negative pg test. I just assumed it was my period starting but when it didnt continue spotting I did another pg test after 3 days and it was positive.

Never heard of an implantation bleed quite so early as you but may well be others out there who know differently.

i had very slight pale brown spotting enough to make me "use pant protection" as I was going out that evening, thought that I must have been coming on - period never arrived... but DS did 9 mths later!

I had implantation bleed with this pg, was light bleeding which only lasted a day then just stoped, i think it was 2 weeks after ovulation.

I have a friend who bleeds a little when she ovulates. That would be about 2 weeks before AF starts.

do you Kate, well it's ov time for me too but I've never bled before. Only time will tell. Really must sort out some kind of contraception at my age

I had an implantaion bleed with dd2 around the same time as yourself diddle (half way through cycle). It was like a light period that lasted a couple of days. I did actually think it was my doda's but it's was a now 3 year old dd getting comfy

I am hoping that this is what I found today... I had a bit of cm so I wondered if my cycle was "off" (supposed to get AF next week) so felt my cervix and got a bit of blood on my finger. It's not enough to spot my undies though. Sorry if TMI!
By the way why is it called AF? (Because when you're ttc you say "ah f*! when it arrives?!)
