Has anyone's DH ever taken Tamoxifen for low sperm count?

Dh has just been prescribed this today.

His count was v low (1.5 million) but since making some lifestyle changes and taking vitamins it's increased to 11 million

Consultant has prescribed tamoxifen for 3 months to see if it can improve his count further (I think normal is 20 million or more).

Has anyone's DP taken this? What can we expect? Did it help? Wondering if anyone else has been in similar position and has any advice / stories

Nothing useful to add, but my husband's sperm count is very low and we're about to do ICSI, so am super-interested to see the outcome of this one.

May I ask what lifestyle changes/vitamins?

He's completely given up alcohol and baths, cut right down on caffeine and is eating healthily and doing more exercise (swimming and walking).

Vitamins are zinc, vit C, vit E, folic acid and L-argenine.

He's being doing these things for 6 months now. After 3 months his count had improved to 11 million (and may have improved more since then)
