CB fertility monitor question

Hi there,
i'm using the CB fertility monitor for the first time this month and am having a bit of trouble.
I've entered the first day of my LMP and its showing the right day now, but it says on the instructions 'switch monitor on on the first day in your testing window'. I switched it on on Day 6 (yesterday), cos it says that the monitor will ask you to test on Day 6 the first month, but it did not show the sign to do a test. I put in a test stick anyway and got the exclamation sign which means 'not expecting a test'.
Are you supposed to switch on the monitor every morning whether you are due to test or not? And have i stuffed up this month's testing?

I'm not sure I can answer your question but glad you have posted it as I am about to use CBFM for this cycle and was a bit baffled by the instructions as well. Hope you gte an answer soon.

Could it be that you have switched it on too late? I think that you have to test within a certain time which is usually determined by the time you first set it up.

It was set at 7 in the morning and so should work 3 hours either side of that according to the instructions. I've been switching it on each day since but its not asking me to test yet.
Have just remembered though - I lent it to a friend a while ago and she used it for a few months - it might be going with her cycle possibly...if so, how would I reset it??

Ah, there is a way to re-set it, I'll see if I can find out. Thing is, I think if you haven't set it up and your cycle has already started (And you're more than 6 days in) you might have to wait for the next cycle. I'm working from distant memory so this might be wrong but it may also be that it won't always ask you to test straight away if it's the first cycle of using it.

I'll reset it for next month and use some OV sticks this month I think.
