And if so, what did they do/say?

LP seems to be around 9-10 days and really need to sort it out.

Hi littlesilver thanks for posting this - am thinking I have a similar problem but have not been to the GP yet either (although mentioned in in passing 4 or 5 months ago and she said it didn't exist - the LP problem that is). I took B6 for one month and then thought maybe its too high a dosage and stopped! Will be interested to know if others have had success with the GP.

Another thank you from me I have a 6 day LP .
On another note it was around 9 days when I conceived my DD.
Anyway, I shall also wait for replies from people who have been to their GPs.

As you know, littlesilver I have about a 10 day LP. In my experience doctors just don't seem bothered about this. I have spoken to a GP and 2 different consultants and they all seemed a bit like, "What's the problem????" about Luteal Phase Defect. My GP (who is lovely) had to read the thing I had printed off the internet to even understand what LPD was!

I did get preg in December with a 10 day Luteal Phase and as I didn't MC until I was 11.5 wks I don't think it was down to LPD. (Consultant thought it was more likely to be chromosone prob due to my age).

So I am hoping I will get preg again with this kind of cycle.

Most docs don't seem to have much faith in adding progesterone in any form.

As you also know, I tried Progesterone cream last month but went a bit loopy at period time so am not going to use it this month. I also take 100mg of Vit B complex a day and have been doing that since my MC in Feb. Apart from turning my pee green it has not done a darned thing to my LP .

I would be interested to see if anyone's GP has taken this problem seriously.

I went to my GP for fertilty problems want had alll the tests on the days they specified so on day 21 even though I had a 32 day cycle etc. And the tests showed no ov, I knew I was ovulating and when thanks for a fertility monitor and the GP wasn't sure about it being an issue but they referred me due to not ovulating. When I saw the consultant I showed him my 3/4 day LP. He asked me to have my next day 21 7 days post my ov prediction (so 4 day before my next period) which I did and saw him the same day to say I had the test but had AF too. He prescribed me clomid to lengthen my LP and put us on the IVF waiting list. He used me as an example with his students as not many see a short LP conception as a fertility problem and recognise it may be an issue. My GP had never heard of it.
