Pregnancy symptoms in a chemical pregnancy?

Could someone please explain to me what is meant by a chemical pregnancy? Also if you're having a chemical pregnancy, do you have pregnancy symptoms? Thank you

I had a CP 8 week's ago.

It's where to egg and sperm meet, but unfortunetly does not implant properly and if a woman had never tested she would of never known any thing.

My exsperience is, i was testing very early and kept getting very faint lines but the clear blue digital would never give me a "pregnant"

I had symptoms of peeing loads and drinking loads nothing else, i already have 2dc and i know i had more symptoms than that.. i just knew something wasn't right, so i kept testing again all faint lines! (never once got a dark line)

When Friday came (my AF due date) i FINALLY got a "pregnant 1-2 weeks" on the digital but still i didnt feel right about it.

That night before bed i had period pains went to the loo and blood, which continued like a period. went to doctors etc no precedures apart from when finished the bleed to do another test just to make sure (as woman can bleed and baby be fine)

Unfortunetly they are very common and my doctor said they are called "early miscaridges" and they dont like to call them CP which is finbe by me as when asked as alot of woman actually dont know about them , including me till it happend.

Thank you for your reply and I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I took a test 3 days ago which was positive, but a very faint line. Have 2 dc's, youngest 10months. Got really excited, dh really excited etc, but took another test today - different brand and still a very faint line Feeling of nausea and exhaustion last week, hence the test, and twinges and stretching feelings in abdomen, increased cm, headaches and irritableness! Thinking I'll do another test on Weds to see if the line's any darker. Sorry, just feeling very paranoid,. Can't believe that I could be lucky enough to be pregnant with another baby when already have 2 perfect boys.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this mamasunshine. I had this last month and after two days of faint positives had a negative test and then AF arrived. But apparently a faint positive doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem, so you may well be fine. You definitely get all the symptoms of pregnancy with a chemical pregnancy, because you are pregnant, but it just doesn't last. The uncertainty is a killer though. I do hope everything works out for you.

Thanks lilysma. I'm very sorry for your loss. I read your thread and the herb Agnus Castus is excellent for balancing hormones, therefore regulating your cycle. Maybe worth a go?

It's the uncertainty that's definately the killer, if people know one way or another they can start to move forward, but it's like being trapped in a timezone. It's all I can think about, but tomorrow going to try very hard not to Trying to wait until Weds to re-test and compare line's! Pne of the problems of being able to test so early
