short cycles, heavy periods ... tell me I'm paranoid for worrying about it!

Hi. I'm hoping someone might be able to reassure me a bit here.

I have relatively short cycles, averaging around 24 days (26 has been my longest since I started ttc in january, 22 my shortest). I also have quite heavy periods, I can easily go through a tampon every couple of hours for 4-5 days.

Now I know that some people have shorter cycles and some much worse periods but I'm just a little worried about having both and panicking that it might be causing problems for ttc.

Please someone tell me I'm not the only one and that I'm being an idiot for worrying about it for no good reason at all!

Have you been to GP at all to ask about it in the past?
I have a shorter cycle (25/26 days) for 8 days but only very heavy for 2 of those days.
I would chat to GP perhaps.

I have a short cycle too 23-25 days give or take. I would say only heavy bleeding for 2 days and more regular bleed for 3 more days. I'm sure you'll fine people who have short periods like us that are heavy like your's.

However I would say I used to have much heavier periods and discovered it was because I had a large fibroid that was removed in the end.

Not meaning to suggest that could be your case, but if you're worried I think it's worth checking everything is okay.

Yep = I had fibroids too - lost weight and think they shrunk. Probably still have them now though as put weight back on!
